Project: Grady
Summary:
The Highway 65 bypass in Grady, Arkansas provides an alternative route to traffic that normally travels through the city. The bypass starts on US 65 near Choctaw Bayou, passes NE of Grady, and rejoins US 65 to the SE. The construction of a 3.9-mile bypass started in 2005 and was completed in 2009 with a cost of $22 million (in 2013$). The motivation behind the construction was to alleviate traffic conditions on the existing route.
